Ipods helped bring apple to the attention of so many people. They helped increase apples
market share and also push forward technology. no ipod -> no iphone

Apple's iPod was the marketed figurehead of the DAP craze, but it would have happened
without them. Ipods are fragile, overpriced, and shackled to itunes.

The iPod is, by far, the best music player. Other mp3 players simply aren't as good.
But please, let's get rid of iTunes or at least mandatory iTunes.
