It has been responsible for many achievements in
space during the last 50 years. For them to
continue that quest, they have to be given
priority in funding?

NASA's budget is really not as massive as people think it is. In fact, I think that
it really should probably be increased.

To be "the" leader of the world, the US has to be up there with advancing space
knowledge and experience. They need to provide more funding to get there.

I'm sure they do great things - but that is a lot of money being spent that could go
to better causes - just my opinion.
