FAQs
MatterMeter is a service where you can share opinions on products, services, and people. Tell others what brands matter and don't matter to you. You can then see how other people have rated those same brands and whether you agree with them. And, you'll get to see the overall rating for each brand.
The term "matterize" means to voice a positive or negative opinion about a person, place or thing.
Example: If you really feel strongly about your flight on Southwest Airlines, you should totally matterize it.Products, services, and people. Didn't I just say that? If you love Dungeons and Dragons, matterize it. If Adidas is more your style, matterize that. If you had Cheerios for breakfast, matterize those. And if you're desperate to matterize your favourite celebrity, who's stopping you! While you're at it, matterize another brand! Have a look at all the brands that are already being matterized to get a better idea of people's opinions about stuff.
Just sign up on an internet-enabled device like your computer or cell phone, and you're in. Chances are, if you're reading this, you've got that one covered. Here is where you join. Once you've joined, all you have to do is think of a brand name, type it in the box, and say whether the brand matters to you.
Sure you can. But, keep in mind that these results simply reflect the opinions of MatterMeter users who have rated the matter. They cannot be generalized to all people or even to all MatterMeter users. Please practice safe statistics
You can use it through the regular web browser on your device but we don't have any separate apps yet. Give us a minute, we're working on it.
Please follow the golden rule. Congratulations, critiques, and criticisms are all part of the game, but please be respectful. Failure to be respectful may result in your account being locked and/or cancelled.
Lots of different ways. You can follow people who give ratings that are similar to yours, or people who always disagree with you. Or, you can invite your friends to join by clicking on the "Share this" button located all over the site and see what matters to them. Just click on the follow button under the person's name.
Their matters will show up on your followers page.
Your profile pages lists out all the people who are following you as well as who you are following. You can add or remove anyone you are following from there. We will also email you to let you know who's following you.
Sure you can! You might want to use a url shortening program like tinyurl or bit.ly so that you don't waste your character allowance on the url.
You're allowed to include up to 160 characters in your explanation. Why? Because that's the limit for a lot of cell phones and we want you to focus on just the facts.
Matterize as many brands as you like! Comment as often as you like! You can matterize the same brand more than once, just not on the same day.

Your account might be locked out for a bunch of different reasons. Inappropriate messages or photos, squatting on someone's user name, inappropriate use of MatterMeter, harmful material, gaming, or violating our terms of service could lead us to lock your account.
